Root cause of unbalance: Uneven mass distribution of the rotor generates periodic centrifugal forces and couples during high-speed rotation, causing vibration.
Testing process: The drive system rotates the rotor to the target speed. Vibration/acceleration sensors and photoelectric/laser phase sensors collect vibration signals and phase data. Through FFT analysis and dedicated algorithms, the magnitude and angular position of unbalance are accurately calculated.
Correction methods: Unbalance is reduced to within the required ISO 1940 balancing grade (such as G0.4, G2.5) by material removal via drilling, adding weights by welding or bolting, or applying liquid balancing compound.
